Well it depends on what you were diagnosed with! Some conditions do not respond to Orthotics alone and need modalities such as Cold Laser Therapy and Ultrasound to assist in decreasing inflammation and healing painful tissues in the foot. The rule is: Never get Custom Foot Orthotics from a Health Care Practitioner without fully understanding your diagnosis. Custom Foot Orthotics can help distribute pressure away from painful areas similar to how a snowshoe distributes your body weight over a larger surface area, but you cannot expect them to fully get rid of pain that has been there for years and created scar tissue and compensatory problems. Cold Laser Therapy treatment involves light therapy to stimulate microcirculation around the tissues to increase blood flow and enhance cellular regeneration and oxygen consumption.
We offer these therapies in our clinic; please don't hesitate to give us a call or contact us to discuss various treatment options today!

Thanks for pointing out that custom foot orthotics would be able to help distribute the pressure away from painful areas. I guess I should get one for myself to help me with my everyday workout. It's because it becomes too painful at times when I walk for a long time, but I need to walk that much to start losing weight.
